IYSS is a free service which offers information, impartial advice, guidance and support to all young people aged 13-19 (and older for some young people with learning difficulties or disabilities). It's all about you. You can talk to us about anything you need to - career ideas, applying for college or university, problems at home, applying for jobs, money or even relationships. Visit your local Drop-in Centre and speak to a Personal Adviser as they can talk to you about your plans and tell you about local vacancies that includes some kind of training towards a recognised qualification. At age 16 and 17, if you haven't already reached a level 2 qualification (e.g. an NVQ Level 2) then you are entitled to time of from your work to get trained.
