Options at 16



The majority of students with additional needs will move on to further education or employment with training at 16. At this time advice is particularly important and we would expect to offer the following support

  • comprehensive details about relevant provision at our local colleges
  • information on employment training courses offered by work based training providers
  • details about specialist colleges and how to apply
  • outline the support that Young People might expect from each option
  • information on training allowances and benefits
  • support while at college or in training
