Temporary Accommodation

If you are unable to find permanent accommodation, some local authorities may pay towards you staying in a hotel. B&B rooms are usually very small, so if you have a lot of stuff, this may not be a good option for you.

Owners of B&Bs don't normally like to have guests hang around during the day and you may find that there are set times when you are not allowed to be on the premises.

Bed-sits are usually available for relatively short-term lets and tend to be quite cheap.

If you're moving to a new town and haven't sorted out anywhere to live, try a youth hostel. They're not just for backpackers staying for one night only, and can accommodate for up to six nights. Youth hostels usually have facilities for washing and cooking, and can provide three meals a day.
