Youth Parliament
If you had two years to make a difference, what would you do? Secure better transport services, more youth clubs, more sports facilities, skate parks, arrange for young people to have more things to do and places to go? Would you like to influence decisions on issues such as the environment, crime, health and deal directly with Councillors or senior managers within the Council, the Police and other organisations? If you become a member of the Youth Parliament you can try and make these ideas a reality. Over the last couple of years we have campaigned about transport issues, gained more representatives to represent Central Bedfordshire on the national UK Youth Parliament, influenced funding for youth facilities and represented young people's voice at many events. To become a member of the Youth Parliament you need to responsible, committed, reliable, determined, co-operative, friendly, imaginative and most importantly want to make a difference. Anyone aged 11-18 living in, working or going to a school or college in Central Bedfordshire can be part of this fantastic opportunity! If you are interested you can download a copy of the Youth Parliament Candidate Pack (see below), fill in the Youth Parliament Nomination Form or if you have any questions contact Celia Dawson on 01234 718648
