Employer Services :Placing a VacancyPlacing a vacancy with Employer Services is an excellent way of promoting your opportunities to young people in Bedfordshire & Luton. Our friendly team will make the process as quick and easy as possible, and can give practical advice on how to maximise the impact of your advert. Employer Services can take a vacancy from you in two ways:
The vacancy form provides a quick and easy way of providing all the necessary information required by us to put together the opportunity. This will then be uploaded onto our online jobs database, into each of our Connexions Centres/Access Points and in monthly vacancy bulletins distributed to schools, colleges and a range of community organisations. When placing a vacancy it is worth considering the type of vacancy you are advertising for. If your company are looking to recruit an Apprentice then usually it would be best practise to advertise 1 – 2 months in advance of the College course starting. College courses usually start in September therefore by actively looking to employ young people in July you will have time to advertise, interview and recruit before the course commences. In addition to this most young people will have just left school and will be looking for Apprenticeship opportunities. It is worth bearing in mind that some courses will have alternative start dates in the following January or that some Apprentices do not need to attend college and so can start at any time of year. It is also worth considering that young people already on Apprenticeships may be looking for alternative opportunities. If your vacancy is for general employment, then we have young people registered with us who are always looking for an employment opportunity, therefore please contact Employer Services to discuss advertising your vacancy. |
